The estate is located in a quiet area in a transverse valley of the Maures Massif. The loveliest beaches of Hyères and the Lavandou are less than 20 km away. The nearby Maures Massif offers various possibilities for rambles or bike rides. Pierrefeu had been recorded as early as in writings of the Middle Ages as a place where exceptional wine was produced. This is the actual place, in the golden triangle of the Côtes de Provence (Pierrefeu,Puget-Ville and Cuers), that the La Tour de Vidaux grape grows on the schistose soils of the southern slopes of the Massif des Maures. La Tour de Vidaux, nestling in a little river valley known as Réal Martin, has the benefit in this region of a microclimate that is unique. The estate has 24 hectares of vines overall. The average age of the vine stocks is 19 years. The estate has plots planted with young vines and others with 50-year-old vines.
